Ghana and Aduana Stars goalkeeper Joseph Addo is the latest player to throw his support behind Richard Ofori, who joined South African Premier Soccer League side Maritzburg United.
The 24-year-old goalkeeper signed a three-year deal with the Team of Choice last week, in an undisclosed fee from Wa All Stars and, Addo, who is currently the second-choice to Ofori at the Ghana's setup, believes his teammate's hunger for success will make him an instant hit.
“I have been working with Richard Ofori and I am very certain that he will be a success at Maritzburg United in South Africa,” Addo was quoted as saying by Ghanaweb.com.
“He has a lot of hunger in him and I am more than certain that he will be a good signing and hit for the club next season,” he added.
Ofori, who joined his teammates for the pre-season, is expected to become the first choice at Maritzburg following the departure of Namibian shot-stopper Virgil Vries.
He becomes the fifth Ghanaian aside Anas Mohammed, John Paintsil, Frank Sarfo Gyamfi and Yakubu Mohammad to play for the club.
