Salah headlines Egypt's 23 for Afcon 2017

The AS Roma man, as expected, figures on the final list of the Pharaohs for the continental showpiece

Egypt coach Hector Cuper has presented his final list of 23 players for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.

The squad includes renowned names such as AS Roma winger Mohamed Salah, Mohamed Elneny of Arsenal as well as Stoke City's Ramadan Sobhi.

Hamada Tolba, Ahmed Gomaa, Mohamed Awad and Mohamed Ibrahim are the four men dropped from the initial 27-man squad.

The Pharaohs, seven-time champions, will play in Group D at Gabon 2017 alongside Ghana, Mali and Uganda.

The tournament runs between January 14 and February 5.
