The 22-year-old grabbed the third goal for Valenciennes in their 3-2 win over Bastia in the French Ligue 1 last Saturday. Waris joined the French outfit for a brief stint from Spartak Moscow as he seeks to maintain his sharpness since the Russian league is on a short winter break.

Congratulations to Abdul Majeed Waris, Goal Ghana's 49th Player of the Week winner!

The Shortlist

YUSIF RAMAN CHIBSAH - SASSUOLO

The 20-year-old was impressive as his side shocked AC Milan on Sunday night after posting a 4-3 victory over the Rossoneri. Even though Milan’s opener came from his end, he recovered quickly to put up a dynamic performance in midfield. In fact, he worked tirelessly in office to earn his side the victory.

RAZAK BRIMAH - CORDOBA CF

The former CD Guadalajara goalkeeper recorded another clean sheet over the weekend as Cordoba II beat Almeria II in the Spanish Segunda B. He took his tally of clean sheets to three straight matches. Brimah who was signed by the club last month has so far been playing the second team (Cordoba II).
