Liverpool FC goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has signed an endorsement deal with British hair styling brand Hairbond UK.

The Belgian international, 25, joins English cricketer James Anderson as a brand ambassador for Hairbond, which claims to supply products to ‘a whole host of celebrities including top movie stars, athletes and TV personalities’.

“Hairbond is a high quality product that I have been using for quite some time now and I am very happy to represent Hairbond product range in the future as their brand ambassador,” Mignolet said in a statement.

Hairbond founder and avid Liverpool fan Scott Michaels said that Mignolet’s profile is “growing by the minute” following his move from Sunderland to Liverpool last summer and his likely participation in this year’s Fifa World Cup in Brazil.

“Getting Simon on board is a huge statement of intent for where we are heading with the brand,” he added.

To kick off the new deal, Mignolet took part in a photo shoot for Hairbond at Liverpool’s Cavern Club, a venue made famous by The Beatles.

Mignolet’s Liverpool continued their impressive form this season by beating city rivals Everton 4-0 at Anfield on Tuesday evening.
