Reggina have announced the loan signing of Sierra Leone international midfielder Rodney Strasser from Genoa.
The Italian Serie B club made the announcement on their website that their long pursuant for the Sierra Leonean midfielder was over as they reached an agreement with Genoa for the transfer of the player to the Amaranth.
The 23-year-old midfielder who grew up in Milan and made his Rossoneri debut in the top flight in 2008-09, left Milan and signed a new contract with Genoa but the latter decided to send him on loan to the Serie B club.
The former FC Kallon midfielder was presented with the No. 2 jersey and was named in the club’s 18- man squad against Bari.
Strasser becomes the second Sierra Leonean player to join Reggina after the country’s football legend, Mohamed Kallon who also had a spell with the club.
Strasser has had a mix career in Serie A with injuries and less playing time but he was able to score a goal for Milan and also when he was loaned out to Leece but last season he only made a single appearance on loan for Parma.
