Kenichi not returning to Hearts of Oak

The Phobians former manager says he has no immediate plans to rejoin the Accra-based team

Hearts of Oak former coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi has rubbished reports that he could be on his way back to the Accra-based outfit after leaving the club in June on mutual terms.

The Japanese, who managed the team for eight months and realised some encouraging results, reportedly held talks with Hearts chairman Togbui Afede this month.

“I spoke with Togbui Afede but did not ask to return to Hearts of Oak,” Kenichi said on Twitter.

The Phobians are still in search of a new head coach, to be recruited ahead of the new season, according to reports.

Hearts finished the season third on the log with 48 points, behind winners All Stars, 51 and Aduana Stars, 49.
