Kofi Owusu dropped from Berekum Chelsea G6 squad

Last season’s top scorer will not be participating in the maiden edition of the GHALCA 6 tournament

Berekum Chelsea have ignored top striker Kofi Owusu for the upcoming GHALCA 6 tournament following a list of 28 players released by the club’s coach  Solomon Odwo on Thursday.

No reasons were given by the management of the Berekum-based outfit. However, local reports suggest that Owusu, who scored 19 goals last season to win the Ghana Premier League top scorer award, could be close to joining another club.

Former Ghana youth striker Saddick Adams, Edward Kpodo and Richard Oti make the list.

Berekum Chelsea will face GPL champions AshantiGold in the tournament’s opening match on Thursday.
