Wa All Stars goalkeeper Richard Ofori is a hotcake in the local market but foreign clubs have been showing interest as well, according to club general manager Oduro Nyarko.
The 22-year-old enjoyed an impressive 2014-15 Ghana Premier League season, winning the best goalkeeper accolade at the GFA/PLB awards.
He has been linked to several top sides in the local topflight including Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak.
However, foreign teams, notably from Europe, have also set eyes on the rising star, a club official has revealed.
“Richard Ofori is leaving to which club? We have received offers from clubs in Europe and we are still holding talks with them but nothing has been confirmed yet,” Nyarko told Asempa FM.
Ofori, who beat Medeama’s Muntari Tagoe as well as Felix Annan of WAFA to the end of season gong, has seen his impressive performance rewarded with a call-up to the Black Stars.
The goalkeeper is listed among 23 players by coach Avram Grant to take on Comoros in the 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifiers on November 13 and 17.
A member of Ghana's side that participated at the 2013 Fifa Under-20 World Cup in Turkey, Ofori also played for the Under-23 side at the 2015 All Africa Games.
