Ghana have decided to drop one of the test games in the US ahead of the 2014 World Cup.
According to the Ghana FA boss, Kwesi Nyantakyi, the coach has revised his progamme and wants to drop one of the warm-up fixtures – Costa Rica or Honduras – in order to focus more on training sessions.
It means Ghana will play just three preparatory games including that of Montenegro and The Netherlands in March and May respectively before the global football Mundial.
“We will play two games in the US but let me amend it,” Nyantakyi revealed on Power FM. “With the two games in the US, there is likely to be a revision following a revision of the coach’s programme.”
He added: “He wants more training sessions so we may just play one game in the US then we move into Brazil for the main competition.”
Ghana have been paired with the USA, Germany and Portugal at the group phase of the summer tournament.
