The Harbour Boys will not be engaged in any of the weekend domestic top flight fixtures due to the fact that five of their players are involved in national assignmentThe Premier League Board has postponed the Tema Youth and Ashantigold weekend fixture to a yet to be announced date.
According to a statement from the PLB, a new date for the match-day-20 game that was originally fixed for Sunday, March 31 will be announced.
The postponement of the match is as result of the Harbour Boys’ contribution of five players to the men's U-20 national team, the Black Satellites participating in the African Youth Championship in Algeria.
"In this regard, the Board granted the request per Article 13.4 of the GFA Regulations which states inter alia “where a club has contributed three (3) players or more to the National Team ‘A’ or five (5 ) or more players in any combination of the National Team ‘A’, U-23, U-20 or U-17 the club may request for postponement of its match and the postponed match shall be rescheduled by the GFA”.
Tema Youth were not in action in midweek due to the same reason.
