Fifa appoints GFA president Kwesi Nyantakyi London 2012 Olympics match commissioner

The world’s football governing body has elected the Ghana football administrator to supervise the organisation of football games for four group fixtures at the Olympics
The president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kwesi Nyantakyi has been appointed as a match commissioner by FIFA at the Olympic Football Tournaments London 2012.

Nyantakyi, who is a member of FIFA's Organising Committee for the Olympics, is in the United Kingdom for the three-week event and will supervise the organisation of football matches for four group matches in both men’s and women’s competitions at his base in Coventry.

According to the official GFA website, Nyantakyi will be on duty beginning July 25 in the women's fixture between Japan and Canada.

His next assignment in the women's competition is the match involving Japan and Sweden on July 28.

In men's football, the GFA boss will supervise the organisation of the matches between Belarus and New Zealand on July 26 and the Korea Republic against Switzerland game on July 29.
