Sierra Leone defender Deen Conteh signs for Ergotelis FC

The former Chelsea guardsman has joined the Greek side for a two-year period and he hopes it is a perfect platform to earn more play time
Former Chelsea full-back, Aziz Deen Conteh, has signed a two-year deal with Greece Super League side, Ergotelis.

The Greek club announced official signing of the Sierra Leonean on its website. Conteh said he is happy with the move.

The 20-year-old left-back was with the Blues youth side for seven years and turned a professional. He has played for the England national Under-16 and 19.

"I am very happy that I came to Ergotelis. I hope it will be a wonderful year for the team and for me,” Conteh told the club’s website.

“I think that this year will be for me a chance to play and grow, helping the team to achieve its goals. I want to get as high as possible and will give you everything about it.”

Conteh was amongst several other players who were released by Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho earlier this summer.  He becomes the fourth Sierra Leonean player after Mohamed Kallon, Kassim Conteh and John Kamara to play in the Greek League.
