AshGold’s Kadri Mohamed earns Ghana call-up

The Miners defender will be among the players taking part in the Black Stars upcoming games, according to reports

Ashanti Gold defender Kadri Mohammed has been handed a call up to Ghana national team ahead of upcoming games, according to reports.

The Black Stars will play a friendly match against the Syli National of Guinea on May 28 before facing Mauritius in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on June 5.

GHANASoccernet.com reports that Ghana coach Avram Grant was impressed with Mohammed’s performance when the local Black Stars played a friendly match with Japan’s U23 team in Saga, despite the Ghanaians losing 3-0.

The centre-back played a huge role in AshGold’s title success in the local topflight last season.
