Commentary

That's all for now! Until next time!
That result puts Liverpool top of the league, at least until Manchester City play later. They'll be delighted with the manner of their victory, and the character they showed to clinch it right at the death like that. It's another game without scoring for Wolves, who looked relatively solid for most of the game, but certainly didn't show much to excite the home support.
Origi cements his position as super-sub for Liverpool, as he grabs all three points for the Reds right at the death! In truth, it looked like this game was fizzling out to a 0-0 draw, which would've been three on the trot for the home side. It wasn't to be though! Origi kept his cool to fire the ball home, and spares Jota's blushes after he missed one of the easiest chances you'll ever see earlier on in the second half. Wolves will feel hard done by to lose it like that, but bar Traore's runs, they didn't really show anything to trouble the Liverpool defence. Origi’s strike was Liverpool’s 39th winning goal scored in 90+ minutes in the Premier League, at least 13 more than other side.
90' + 7' FULL TIME: WOLVES 0-1 LIVERPOOL
90' + 7' That's it! The final whistle goes!
J. Milner
Mohamed Salah
Liverpool
90' + 6' That's Salah's final contribution, he comes off for Milner.
90' + 5' Salah has now either scored or assisted a goal in each of his last 13 appearances in the Premier League. The Egyptian tops the charts for both goals (13) and assists (9) in the competition so far this term.
90' + 5' Wolves are stunned! They only have one minute to get something here!
Mohamed Salah
Assist
Liverpool
90' + 4' Salah did well to calmly cut it back for Origi.
D. Origi
Goal
Liverpool
90' + 4' GOOOAALLLL!!!! LATE DRAMA! Salah latches onto a ball from deep, in behind the defence and pulls it back excellently for Origi. He has his back to goal, but keeps his composure to turn well and slot home from close range.
90' + 3' Wolves win possession in their own half and break forward. Hoever has two men in support, but hits the deck. The referee says no foul, play on!
K. Hoever
R. Aït Nouri
Wolverhampton Wanderers
90' + 2' Ait Nouri is finally replaced by Hoever.
90' + 2' Mane delivers a cross from the left this time, but it just evades the head of Salah. Ait Nouri is down again for the hosts, doing everything he can to slow the final few minutes.
90' + 1' There will be five minutes of additional time.
90' Liverpool are throwing everything they've got at Wolves here! Fabinho finds Salah in the box, who spins his marker well, but can only find Sa with a low, tame shot. You expect Salah to do better from there.
Trincão
Adama Traoré
Wolverhampton Wanderers
89' Trincao is coming on for Traore.
R. Jiménez
Yellow Card
Wolverhampton Wanderers
88' Jimenez is booked for time wasting.
87' Chance! A corner comes in from the right, and is only half-cleared by Wolves. The ball is headed back and forth in the penalty area, and it comes out to Mane in space, about 15 yards out! He slices his shot however, and it's a goal kick to Wolves.
86' Ait Nouri is down receiving medical attention, and is ordered to leave the field as play resumes with the corner.
85' Half chance! Alexander-Arnold whips in a sumptuous cross from deep, and Kilman just about sticks the ball behind for a corner before Origi can get on the end of it.
83' Wolves have everyone back in defence now. The visitors are camped in their half, trying to force an opening.
A. Oxlade-Chamberlain
Diogo Jota
Liverpool
82' Jota exits the field to a chorus of boos. Oxlade-Chamberlain is his replacement.
81' Van Dijk attempts to switch play over to the right-hand side, but only puts the ball straight out of play. Wolves attack down the left, and Van Dijk is forced to put the resulting cross out for a corner.
80' Wolves seem very content to settle for a point here, it would be a record third straight 0-0 for them. Can Liverpool find a goal?
João Moutinho
Hwang Hee-Chan
Wolverhampton Wanderers
79' Moutinho comes on for Hwang.
78' Mane feeds Alexander-Arnold on the edge of the Wolves area. He tees himself up for a strike, but it sails well over the bar.
77' Liverpool are committing more numbers forward now. Salah drives into the box on the right and has an opportunity to shoot. His touch is a poor one though, and the ball falls harmlessly into the arms of Sa.
75' Great play! Robertson advances infield from his flank, and plays a lovely one-two with Jota deep inside the area. He can't quite get onto the return pass however, and the ball is thumped clear by Wolves.
73' Neves goes steaming into a tackle on halfway, but the referee waves play on. Jimenez picks the ball up and escapes the attentions of two Liverpool defenders before running down the byline where Mane wipes him out! The referee still sees nothing doing though, and the ball is eventually put out of play while Jimenez lies down on the field.
71' The ball is floated over the top of the Wolves defence by Salah to Mane running onto it. It's a good chance but he misses his control, and catches the goalkeeper late with his boot, instead of rifling home.
69' Traore carries the ball clear, deep in his own half, and evades the cynical attempts to scythe him down this time. He checks back infield and can't quite find Jimenez with a ball through when the option was there.
D. Origi
J. Henderson
Liverpool
68' Origi is on for Henderson. It's an attacking change from Klopp as Liverpool look to force the issue here.
67' Wolves win the ball off Fabinho in midfield and Dendoncker drives forward, with runners either side of him. He elects to shoot from distance though, and it's well wide.
A. Robertson
Yellow Card
Liverpool
66' Wolves try and start a counter-attack, and inevitably it's through that man Traore again. Robertson goes through the back of him, and it's a foul and a yellow card.
65' Liverpool win the ball high up the pitch, and Mane lays it off to Alexander-Arnold and then sprints into the box. The return pass from Alexander-Arnold is cut out though, and Wolves can clear their lines.
63' Chance! Neves delivers a free-kick from deep on the right, and Dendoncker can't quite connect with it with the goal at his mercy! He was offside however.
Fabinho
Yellow Card
Liverpool
62' Traore races away down the right on the break and Fabinho cynically slides in to halt his progress. It's an obvious booking.
61' Jota really took his time to pick a spot there, and it seemed for all the world that the ball was going in. Coady received a hearty congratulations from his keeper for that block.
60' WHAT A CHANCE! WHAT A MISS! A mix-up in defence between Saiss and Sa means Jota picks up the ball and is haring towards an empty net! Two Wolves defenders race back onto the goal-line and Jota fires it straight into Coady's midriff! How did that not go in?
59' Traore tries to launch a counter-attack and is fouled multiple times by a chasing pack of red shirts. Free-kick to Wolves.
58' The ball comes out to Thiago on the edge of the box and he tries his luck first time! The ball cannons into an orange shirt, and Liverpool have a throw-in deep into the opposition half.
56' Liverpool are enjoying long spells of possession now. Alexander-Arnold finds Henderson running beyond him, but his cross is a poor one, straight into the arms of Sa.
55' Liverpool spray the ball out to the left, and Robertson finds Mane down the line. Mane beats his man and whips in an inviting cross, but it's cut out at the near post and Wolves clear the danger.
54' No foul was given by the referee, and both players look fine to continue.
53' Salah has collided with Ait Nouri here, and both men are down.
52' Semedo tries to thread the ball down the line to Traore, who's made a great run, but Van Dijk just about gets there ahead of him and passes it back to his keeper.
50' Big chance! The corner is delivered deep to Salah, whose first-time volley finds Thiago in acres in the six-yard box! He can't hit it cleanly however, and his shot is straight at Sa. Let-off for Wolves!
49' Salah tries to beat his man on the right flank and settles for a corner.
48' Jota bears down on the Wolves goal and fires it out wide to Salah. He tries to find Mane with a disguised pass and Sa can collect possession easily. That was a real chance to create something more there.
46' Liverpool start the half on the front foot, with plenty of possession in the Wolves half. Henderson attempts to cutely slip Salah into space on the right, but they're on different wavelengths, and it's cut out easily.
46' Wolves get us under way for the second half.
There were no shots on target for either side in that half, which tells its own story. Thiago has probably been the game's best player and has been constantly finding space deep in the Wolves half.
So a first half that followed quite a distinct pattern there. Liverpool didn't have what it took to break down a resolute Wolves defence, and will have to create a few more opportunities of note in the second period. Jota had the game's best chance, but he missed the target with his header at the far post. Wolves didn't seem interested in creating anything until the final five minutes of that half. It's not too surprising that their last two encounters have ended in goalless draws.
45' + 4' HALF TIME: WOLVES 0-0 LIVERPOOL
45' + 3' Semedo is clear on the right, and delivers a deep cross that goes over the head of Hwang at the far post. Ait Nouri picks up the ball, dribbles past two lacklustre Liverpool challenges, but then blazes his shot out for a throw-in. That'll surely be that.
45' + 3' We're into the last of three minutes of additional time.
45' + 1' Jimenez breaks clear and feeds Ait Nouri on the left side. He fizzes the ball in towards Alisson, and Traore is inches away from getting something on it! The keeper unconvincingly gets a touch on the ball, and Liverpool can clear.
45' Liverpool are finishing this half on the front foot. Matip gives away possession on a foray into the Wolves half, and gives away a cheap free-kick in retaliation. Wolves have the chance to reset, and clear their lines.
43' Thiago has the ball centrally, just outside the Wolves area in space. He attempts to put Mane through on the spin, but the Senegalese man is offside, much to the delight of the home crowd.
42' Coady trots back onto the pitch and Wolves are back to their full complement. Semedo tries to find Traore on the run down the line, but his pass is poor, and Liverpool come away with possession.
40' Coady walks off the pitch, and play is restarted without him.
39' Coady is down on the pitch and taking on fluids. He looks to be in a little pain, but will surely continue.
38' Big chance! Robertson is in acres down the left after being found by Jota, and his ball across the face of goal is just about cut out by Saiss in the nick of time! Salah was millimetres away from making that 1-0.
37' Salah pinches possession off Ait Nouri on the edge of the area, but loses his feet as he attempts to drive into the box. It falls to Thiago, and his attempt to put the ball over the top is just cut out by the Wolves defence.
35' Liverpool are now settling on the ball in the middle of the park, with little pressure from the home side.
34' Wolves find Traore on the counter-attack, and he shakes off a few challenges before attempting to thread a ball through to Jimenez. It's slightly overhit, and Alisson can gather the ball easily. Wolves' only glimmer of an attack so far has come through Traore.
32' Good chance! Thiago shifts it wide to Alexander-Arnold, who whips in a great cross that hangs at the far post. Jota is running in to meet it, but he puts his header wide of the mark.
30' Thiago tries to find Salah with a lofted throughball on halfway. The Wolves defence recovers well enough to force it behind for a corner.
28' Chance! Liverpool try and force an opening on the edge of the Wolves area, and Thiago floats a great pass in behind to Alexander-Arnold. He loses his composure however, and fires it over the crossbar.
L. Dendoncker
Yellow Card
Wolverhampton Wanderers
26' Dendoncker slides in late on Jota on halfway and gives away the free-kick. A yellow card is shown by the referee.
24' It's not been a classic by any means so far. Liverpool are perhaps just struggling to find the same intensity from their last few matches.
23' Mane tries a one-two with Henderson on the edge of the box, but the Englishman's pass is overhit, and it's easily taken by Sa.
22' Wolves try and play out from defence, but Thiago wins the ball back for Klopp's side high up the field. He finds Mane, but he is well marshalled by his opposite man, and Liverpool have to make do with a throw.
20' Liverpool have had just two efforts on goal so far, Wolves have had none.
18' The corner goes in again from Alexander-Arnold, but it evades everyone and Salah has to run back to retrieve the ball. The resulting cross is straight into the arms of Sa.
17' The corner is beautifully delivered by Alexander-Arnold to the head of Jota, who can't get a clean connection, and it's behind for another corner.
16' A scrappy period of play results in Alexander-Arnold lofting a ball through to Jota for a half-chance! He waits too long to strike it, and it's blocked behind for a corner kick.
15' Wolves are intent on retaining possession so far, even when pressed high by their opposition.
14' Hwang picks up on a loose clearance and threads it through to Jimenez, who's in on goal! His wild effort is high and wide though. The flag is raised in any case and it wouldn't have counted.
13' Traore breaks clear of a few opposition challenges in midfield, and slips it through to Ait Nouri in space down the right flank. He can't find space for a cross however, and the ball is eventually delivered straight into the arms of Alisson.
12' Jota slips it wide to Robertson on the overlap, and the full-back tries to find Salah in the area with a cross. His delivery is too close to the keeper though, and Sa collects comfortably.
11' Traore and Semedo are linking up well in these early stages. Traore tries to beat Robertson for pace, but the full-back puts it out for a throw-in.
9' Alexander-Arnold finds Salah in space down the right-hand byline. He feels he's being held by the Wolves defender, but the referee sees nothing untoward. Salah attempts an ambitious backheel, and possession is squandered.
7' Wolves work the ball out wide, with a sweeping passing move. Traore attempts to latch on to a ball over the top, but it's overhit and Liverpool have a throw. Both sides are just feeling each other out in these early stages it seems.
6' Neves whips in a corner from the right. It's headed away and makes its way back to Neves, but he's offside, and Liverpool have a free-kick.
4' Mane finds himself on the ball in acres of space in midfield. He tries to slip Salah through, but the ball is a poor one, and it goes out harmlessly for a throw-in.
3' Wolves now have a chance to get a foot on the ball for the first time in this encounter. They give it away on the left and Jota races away with possession, accompanied by a chorus of boos from the crowd. He can't hold onto the ball though, and nothing comes of the attack.
2' Alexander-Arnold finds Jota on the right-hand side and the Portuguese attacker drives into the box. He wants a handball, but the referee is uninterested.
2' Liverpool have a corner on the left side. Robertson whips it in, but it's easily cleared by the Wolves defence.
1' Liverpool, playing in their traditional all-red strip, get us started. Wolves are in their usual gold and black.
The players are emerging from the tunnel, and we're about to get under way here at Molineux!
Wolves’ last two Premier League games have ended 0-0 – the last side to draw three games goalless in a row were West Ham in December 2015. However, their opponents Liverpool have scored in their last 24 Premier League games, the longest ongoing such run in the division.
Liverpool name an unchanged side from midweek, despite Jurgen Klopp’s complaints about the congested calendar. Jota starts up top against his former employers.
Wolves make one change to the team who drew 0-0 with Burnley last time out. Neves comes back into the side after a suspension, replacing his Portuguese compatriot Moutinho.
SUBS: Ibrahima Konate, Divock Origi, Neco Williams, Caoimhin Kelleher, Takumi Minamino, James Milner, Konstantinos Tsimikas, Nathaniel Phillips, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
LIVERPOOL (4-3-3): Alisson; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joel Matip, Virgil van Dijk, Andrew Robertson; Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Thiago; Diogo Jota, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah.
SUBS: Ki-Jana Hoever, Hugo Bueno, Joao Moutinho, Trincao, Chem Campbell, Fabio Silva, John Ruddy, Daniel Podence, Luke Cundle.
WOLVES (3-4-3): Jose Sa; Maximilian Kilman, Conor Coady, Romain Saiss; Rayan Ait Nouri, Leander Dendoncker, Ruben Neves, Nelson Semedo; Adama Traore, Raul Jimenez, Hwang Hee-Chan.
Liverpool go into this game in magnificent form, having put four past their rivals Everton in midweek. They are the division’s top scorers by some margin with 43 goals, and will be confident having won all of their past five visits to Molineux in the Premier League. The Wolves defence may not crumble as easily as Liverpool’s previous opponents however. They come fresh off the back of two straight 0-0 draws. Last time out’s draw with Burnley was hardly a game to set the pulses racing, but it did cement Wolves’ league position of eighth. It has been a solid, if unspectacular season for Bruno Lage’s men so far.
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of this Premier League game between Wolves and Liverpool, at Molineux.
