    WHAT HAPPENED?

Zaha joined Galatasaray in the summer of 2023 from Crystal Palace, and while the former Manchester United man was an instant hit at the club, he flopped with the Turkish side before moving to Lyon on loan in the summer of 2024. However, the move to France did not work in his favour either as he has struggled for playing time and may be sent back to Galatasaray with a loan termination.

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Crystal Palace have been linked with a potential loan move to bring Zaha back to Selhurst Park this winter, however, the same may not go through due to FIFA red tape that does not allow a player to play official games for three different clubs in one season.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

The Daily Mail has now reported that Zaha is receiving attention from a number of clubs across the Atlantic as they have their season cycles running from February to November. The Daily Mail report specifically mentions that a move to MLS clubs could have major potential as those clubs would also be able to cover his huge wages.

    WHAT NEXT FOR ZAHA?

Lyon are very likely to terminate their loan deal for Zaha with Galatasaray, and the issues with registration in the European football circuit may push the former Crystal Palace star to join the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Marco Reus in the United States.
