Raised doubts over American firms' financial condition
Deal struck between the parties in September
WHAT HAPPENED?
According to The Times, Moshiri is considering terminating the deal to sign the Toffees to the Miami-based private investment company as he raised doubts over the firm's financial capability. The Everton owner recently held face-to-face meetings with the company's representatives in London over the possible takeover of the Merseyside club.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Back in September 2023, a deal to buy Moshiri's majority stake of 94.1% was struck with 777 Partners. However, the transaction is yet to be completed as they failed to get the nod from the Premier League who laid down several conditions as part of its owners’ and directors’ test.
DID YOU KNOW?
While the news will certainly displease Evertonians, Moshiri remains confident of getting a new prospective buyer soon as he earlier claimed that several parties remain interested in buying the historic Premier League club.
