WATCH: Patrick Agyemang nets first-half brace to lead Charlotte FC to 3-2 win over Columbus Crew

The forward continued his impressive scoring with two clinical first-half goals, giving the home side a 2-1 advantage in eventual win

WHAT HAPPENED
Patrick Agyemang delivered a stunning first-half performance against Columbus Crew, scoring twice to give Charlotte FC a 2-1 lead heading into halftime. After the Crew took an early lead via Ibrahim Aiyu’s 15th-minute strike, Agyemang responded with a quickfire double that electrified the Bank of America Stadium crowd.
His first goal came via a well placed header from a corner four minutes after Aiyu’s opener, before he gave Charlotte the lead after tucking home a second from a lovely Wilfried Zaha through ball, five minutes after that. Charlotte went on to score a 3-2 win.

Charlotte's performance against the third-place Crew suggests the team may be finding solutions to their recent defensive frailties, which saw them concede four goals in their last home match against Chicago Fire FC.
