    WHAT HAPPENED

    During LAFC's home match against St. Louis City, Green Day drummer Tré Cool made a surprise appearance in the supporters' section. He joined the club's official drumline to help lead chants throughout the second half. The punk rock legend, wearing an LAFC jersey, energized the 3252 supporters' group as the home team rallied from a goal down to secure a 2-2 draw in dramatic fashion. His appearance reinforces LAFC's reputation for attracting celebrity supporters.

    LAFC battled to a 2-2 draw against St. Louis City at the BMO stadium with Cedric Teuchert opening the scoring for St. Louis just after half-time. But Denis Bouanga equalised in the 70th minute for LAFC only for a Nathan Ordaz own goal in the 89th minute to give St. Louis the lead back. However, Bouanga’s second goal of the night levelled things back up for LAFC in extra time.

    The draw keeps LAFC in eighth place on the Western Conference table with 14 points after 10 league games, and they remain in the hunt for a playoff spot. They face the Houston Dynamo next on May 3 and then travel to the Vancouver Whitecaps on May 11.
