    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Tillman and Dest, who are on loan from Bayern Munich and Barcelona respectively, both have uncertain futures at the moment. However, the USMNT defender recently revealed that he has ambitions to stay in the Netherlands with PSV - as long as both parties can come to a beneficial agreement. A reported fee of nearly $11m (€10m) would be required to take Dest on a full transfer from the Catalan club, but both PSV and Barcelona would be open to negotiating. After the Dutch club's 6-0 thumping of Vitesse at the weekend, the 23-year-old spoke to ESPN about what's next.

  • WHAT DEST SAID

Asked if he will stay in the Netherlands, Dest said "there is certainly a possibility," adding that the Dutch side are content with his performances and that he's enjoying life there.

"PSV is very satisfied with me and I am enjoying myself here," he said. "We are doing well as a team, we are close to being champions and next year we will play in the Champions League again. Everything has to be right and it's up to us to fix everything to reach a good agreement."

PSV can take home the Eredivisie title on April 25 if they pick up their 27th win of the campaign against SC Heerenveen. All of Eindhoven will be poised to celebrate the club's first league triumph since 2017-18.
