    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Although these injuries severely limited his playing time at the club level, Adams made a notable impact when he represented the USMNT in the CONCACAF Nations League in March. He made two appearances and scored a stunning goal in a 2-0 victory over Mexico in the final which highlighted his importance to the team, reinforcing his role as an instrumental player of the American midfield.

  • WHAT B.J. CALLAGHAN SAID

USMNT interim head coach B.J. Callaghan expressed optimism about Adams' condition and told reporters: "I can just tell you that [Adams] is in great spirits. He's looking fit, he's here in training and we've had a really great partnership with Bournemouth over the last couple of weeks to make sure that we've developed a plan that's going to allow him to maximize his performance here throughout the friendlies and Copa."
