Triple H unveils Bayer Leverkusen WWE title belt as wrestling legend sends congratulations to Xabi Alonso's side following historic undefeated season

Triple H, the chief content officer in WWE, has revealed an incredible gold WWE Championship that has been awarded to Leverkusen after their undefeated Bundesliga campaign. The belt also features Leverkusen sideplates.

He wrote on Instagram: "Congratulations to [Bayer Leverkusen] on becoming Bundesliga champions for the first time ever after an incredible, historic UNDEFEATED season. Time to celebrate like the champions you are… good luck in tomorrow’s German Cup final, and we’ll see you this August for #WWEBash In Berlin."

WWE are clearly minded to keep up their reputation in Germany as they prepare for a Premium Live Event in August, called the Bash in Berlin. WWE often tours Europe, and under Triple H, have also had major live events in France and England.

Leverkusen will aim to complete a double this weekend when they face Kaiserslautern in the DFB-Pokal final. They lost the Europa League final to Atalanta in midweek and must put that disappointment behind them.
