Ryan Reynolds sends support to Ben Tozer ahead of 'really special game' for former Wrexham captain

  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    Centre-back Tozer was released by Wrexham earlier this year, before the veteran joined National League side Forest Green Rovers in the summer. The defender is raising funds for Cure Leukaemia for Rovers' game away to Solihull Moors - who are chipping in as well. Ahead of Saturday's clash, Hollywood actor Reynolds has sent his support to the 34-year-old.

    In an Instagram story, the Deadpool actor posted a photo of Tozer and added Elton John's song 'Rocket Man' to accompany it.

    Tozer - who helped Wrexham win the National League and get promoted to League One over the past two years - admitted losing his father to leukaemia last year was the "toughest" thing he has ever had to deal with. Now he is raising awareness and funds for a good cause, something Reynolds was eager to champion.
