'What a f***ing idiot!' - Ruud van Nistelrooy told to 'sack himself' as Leicester fans turn on Man Utd legend after seventh straight defeat

Fans at the King Power Stadium are vexed and frustrated after another disappointing defeat which saw them drop to the 19th spot in the Premier League table. Although Van Nistelrooy has been at the club for less than 50 days, the supporters are losing patience after seeing no significant improvement since the Dutchman took over from Steve Cooper.

A Leicester fan, @LCFCNickk, wants Van Nistelrooy to be shown the door and wrote on X: "Officially Ruud out. What a f***ng idiot."

Meanwhile, @meredithlcfc, questioned his tactical decisions and wrote: "Why on earth did he take El Khannouss off? He’s been our best player again. Ruud hasn’t got a clue has he 😂"

@TheKelOwusu went a step further and wrote: "Ruud Van Nistelrooy should sack himself at Leicester City. Man United knew it was just a flash performance and nothing else. The foxes 🦊 need a new manager."

@danielstorey85 wrote: "I think we have to conclude that Ruud van Nistelrooy was probably quite fortunate that West Ham missed 15 decent chances in his first home game."

Whereas, @Forest_Review wrote: "It turns out Steve Cooper wasn’t the problem after all. Ruud Van Nistelrooy heading for a 7th straight defeat."

After this defeat, Leicester find themselves in the relegation zone, two points behind 18th-placed Ipswich Town, who also have a match in hand. Unsurprisingly, Van Nistelrooy finds himself in the spotlight as the Foxes are desperate to stay afloat after getting promoted to the English top flight, following a season in the Championship.

The Dutch manager showed his magic touch at Old Trafford when he took charge on an interim basis, after Erik ten Hag's exit, as he inspired the Red Devils to three wins and a draw in his four games at the helm. Now, he must try to find a way to get his team back to winning ways ahead of Leicester's next game against Tottenham on January 26.
