According to a report from AS, City boss Pep Guardiola is set to name Rodri in his squad for the team's upcoming clash against Bournemouth in the Premier League. THE BIGGER PICTURE

The Spain international ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament during City's 2-2 draw against Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium back in September. However, Rodri returned to team training a few weeks ago, providing hope that he could feature for the Cityzens as they push for a Champions League spot following a poor season which has seen them surrender their Premier League crown and go trophyless.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Rodri's return to the City squad will be a huge boost for Guardiola and the Spanish national team. As well as trying to seal a spot in Europe's top competition, City will also feature in the revamped Club World Cup which begins in June, while La Roja will take on France in the Nations League semi-finals in the same month.

    WHAT NEXT FOR RODRI?

Rodri could return to action on Tuesday, May 20, when City welcome Bournemouth to the Etihad in their final home game of the season. If he doesn't get any minutes tonight, the midfielder could play some part against Fulham on Sunday, as Guardiola's men finish a disappointing campaign away at Craven Cottage.
