'Erratic tendencies' - High-flying Nottingham Forest offer brutal verdict of 'ridiculous' Man Utd goalkeeper Andre Onana

High-flying Forest are enjoying an impressive season and completed a memorable league double over Manchester United on Tuesday with a 1-0 win at the City Ground. Former United winger Anthony Elanga scored the only goal of the game, running almost the length of the pitch before firing a shot past Onana. The goalkeeper had been in the spotlight ahead of the fixture with Forest picking him out as 'one to watch' in their pre-game programme. However, it's fair to say the stopper will not have enjoyed reading the description provided by Nottingham Forest.

The club said: "Onana is capable of both the sublime and the ridiculous between the posts and he can possess erratic tendencies at times."

Onana has come in for plenty of criticism from his own fans this season for some error-strewn displays in the Manchester United goal. The Reds Devils would reportedly be willing to sell Onana to Saudi Arabia this summer, although the 29-year-old has three years left on his current contact and is keen to stay.

There were just 16 seconds between Bruno Fernandes taking the corner for Manchester United and Anthony Elanga racing up the other end to score past André Onana for Nottingham Forest.

Nottingham Forest go on to play Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday, while Onana and Manchester United face a derby against City on Sunday at Old Trafford.
