    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Madrid could move for Rabiot in a deal which would see the midfielder link up with Carlo Ancelotti once again. The Italian boss handed Rabiot his debut when the two worked together previously at PSG and Madrid are believed to be an option. Yet Rabiot could also stay in Italy. Milan have been in touch with his mother Veronique, who also acts as his agent, but may struggle to afford his wages.

  • WHAT JUVENTUS SAID

Technical director Cristiano Giuntoli confirmed Rabiot's departure at a press conference to unveil new manager Thiago Motta. He said: "I also want to thank Rabiot. Rabiot's contract has expired. We wish him a happy future, professional and otherwise."
