  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    The Daily Mail has reported that the Magpies have offered Burnley £16 million ($20.3m) to acquire the services of the Manchester City youth product. However, the Clarets will reportedly try to hold out as they push for a fee closer to £20 million ($25.4m) for the highly-rated 21-year-old.

    Chelsea, Liverpool and Bayern Munich have also shown interest in the goalkeeper as they look to provide competition to their current coterie of keepers and build up towards the future. At St. James' Park, it is said that Eddie Howe is a big fan of the keeper, who made 28 Premier League appearances for Burnley last season.
