Necaxa shareholders Eva Longoria and Rob McElhenney visit Estadio Victoria as club wins 2-0 vs. Querétaro

Necaxa shareholder Eva Longoria visited the Estadio Victoria Friday for their match against Querétaro. The famous actress and director, known for her role in Desperate Housewives, was present to support the team. Rob McElhenney, fellow shareholder and co-owner of Wrexham, was also pictured in attendance with Longoria. The pair's appearance sparked excitement among fans as Necaxa won 2-0, with goals from José Rodríguez and Alexis Peña.

Longoria's connection with Necaxa is primarily through her involvement as part of the club's ownership group. In 2021, she became a shareholder of the club, joining a group of investors that includes other prominent figures, including Ryan Reynolds and McElhenney. Longoria has expressed interest in supporting the team both as a fan and as a business partner, helping to raise the club’s profile and bringing a global presence to their efforts.

Her visit to the stadium and involvement in the club showcases her commitment to helping raise the visibility and success of Necaxa. The actress and entrepreneur joined the team alongside the Tyles-Porter investment group, which owns 49 percent of the Aguascalientes-based club.

"If I had to choose just one, it would be our captain Alexis Peña," Longoria said when quizzed about her favorite Necaxa player.

The actress then joked about potentially signing a certain French Real Madrid star, "Monterrey has Sergio Ramos. I would sign Mbappé, a French player to Mexico. I'm already starting the rumors."

With the 2-0 victory over Gallos Blancos, Necaxa reached 24 points in the Clausura 2025 and is currently in fifth place in the general standings. Nicolás Larcamón's team will visit Xolos de Tijuana next Friday for Matchday 14, looking to secure a spot in the top positions of the tournament.
