    The Arsenal boss gave a priceless response in his pre-match press conference when he was asked if he would consider taking tips from Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso on how to beat Bayern Munich ahead of their Champions League quarter-final clash.

    Under Alonso's tutelage, Leverkusen have remained unbeaten against the reigning German champions this season. At Allianz Arena, the Bundesliga leaders held the hosts to a 2-2 draw and then picked up a 3-0 win in the reverse fixture.

  • WHAT MIKEL ARTETA SAID

    Arteta was asked if he had spoken to Alonso for tips on how to beat Bayern and replied: "Great question but I am not going to answer that." His response was met by plenty of laughter from the journalists attending the press conference.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

    The Gunners have remained unbeaten in their last seven matches across all competitions with their last defeat coming against FC Porto in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 fixture back in February. Thomas Tuchel's side, on the other hand, head into the clash on the back of two consecutive Bundesliga losses.
