    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The report of the infestation comes less than a month after fans spotted a dead rat under one of the seats during a Europa League clash at Old Trafford. However, the report states that the inspectors found evidence of mice in a corporate suite and in a kiosk that sells food to fans.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

United have long had issues with pest infestations which are linked to Old Trafford's location between a canal and a railway line, plus the cold winter weather is thought to have exacerbated the problem. Pest control professionals are reportedly visiting the club up to five times a week, the report adds.

    WHAT NEXT FOR MAN UTD?

The Red Devils will hope to get rid of the infestation in the coming weeks. In the meantime, Ruben Amorim's team will aim to end their two-game losing run by beating struggling Wolves on December 26.
