Manchester United training ground expansion plans face major delays amid severe terrorism threat warnings

The police response has been incredibly firm, issuing direct warnings about the dangers of inadequate security infrastructure. In their official message, the police stated they "implore the application to provide suitable secure pedestrian access" to ensure that every visitor arriving at the site undergoes thorough vetting.

The authorities have explicitly warned the council about the realistic prospect of "bad actors" entering the restricted training site while hidden among a group of pedestrians.
