  • WHAT HAPPENED?

The uninspiring performance against Aston Villa on Sunday saw United endure their worst-ever start to a Premier League season as they currently find themselves 14th in the league with eight points from seven outings. Now Grosvenor Sport SuperComputer has predicted that things could worsen for the Manchester club as they are tipped to finish ninth at the end of the season, their worst possible finish in the league's history.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The SuperComputer further predicted that Arsenal would finally lift the league trophy after a gap of 21 years thereby ending Manchester City's title-winning run. While Mikel Arteta's team will top the table with 94 points, the Cityzens are expected to finish second with a point less. Liverpool and Chelsea will finish third and fourth with 87 and 74 points, respectively.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Southampton are predicted to finish rock-bottom with just 15 points, while Ipswich Town and Wolves could follow the Saints to the Championship. Leicester City will finish tied on 27 points with Wolves but will survive on goal difference.
