    WHAT HAPPENED?

  • WHAT TEN HAG SAID

Speaking to the media, Ten Hag said [via BBC]: "We can play to a very high standard. We can compete with the best and beat the best in the Premier League. When you can do that, you can also do it across Europe. We need to learn how to bring big games over the line.

"We have to recover very quickly. We have to turn this around. We will be in a positive mood and we will be looking forward. We have to take energy but we will be mad, and angry. From anger, you can take a lot of energy and that is how we have to do it."

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Man Utd have suffered from inconsistency throughout this season and currently sit some ways off the Champions League spots. Liverpool, on the other hand, sit atop the Premier League standings and are involved in a heated title clash with Arsenal and Man City.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

If Liverpool win the league this season, they will tie Manchester United for the most Premier League titles in history with their 20th league title. Man Utd haven't won the league since 2013 while Liverpool won their last title in 2020.

  • WHAT NEXT FOR MAN UTD?

Ten Hag's men will host Klopp's Liverpool at Old Trafford later tonight and a win would see Liverpool open up the gap to both Arsenal and Man City who won their clashes last night.
