Man Utd looking to poach 17-year-old striker Baylee Dipepa from Port Vale as Sir Jim Ratcliffe focuses on discovering young talent

Dipepa, who graduated from Port Vale's youth system, signed his first-ever professional contract with the club in January this year. He has already appeared in 20 matches across all competitions, scoring twice and providing as many assists. In England's Euro 17 qualifying matches earlier this month, Dipepa scored thrice in two outings against Northern Ireland and Hungary.

According to The Sun, United are the frontrunners to secure the 17-year-old forward's signature ahead of the 2024/25 season. The report further claims that the club's new co-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, plans to sign new young talents to bolster the squad instead of spending heavily on proven stars.

The Red Devils are looking to add new strikers to their ranks as they want to provide competition to Rasmus Hojlund who joined the club from Atalanta last season. They have been linked with a move for Real Madrid's Joselu in recent times.

After a disappointing draw against Brentford on Saturday, Erik ten Hag's side will now travel to London where they will take on Chelsea in an important Premier League clash on Thursday.
