  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    The 22-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the Red Devils after the club triggered her release clause which is believed to be around £60,000 ($79,000). Bizet wasted no time integrating into her new team, travelling with the United squad to Marbella on Tuesday for their pre-season training camp.

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

    Before her move to Manchester, Bizet spent two seasons with Tottenham, where she made a notable impact in the Women’s Super League (WSL). Last season, she found the back of the net four times in 20 appearances, showcasing her potential as a forward. Prior to her time at Spurs, Bizet was part of the Paris Saint-Germain squad, solidifying her experience at the top level of European football. Meanwhile, she has earned 21 caps for the Norway women's national team.

    Manchester United’s head coach, Marc Skinner, showered praise on the latest acquisition and said: "Celin is an exciting, talented young player with lots and lots of potential. She suits exactly where we are trying to be as a team – we want young, hungry players, who can make a real difference.”

    Meanwhile, speaking about her move to United, Bizet said: "I’m very excited to take this next step in my career and sign for such a great club as Manchester United. I cannot wait to pull on the famous red shirt and create winning moments in front of these wonderful fans."

    Bizet’s signing marks the sixth addition to United's squad this summer. United had already secured the services of Canadian midfielder Simi Awujo, Dutch defender Dominique Janssen, French forward Melvine Malard, Norwegian striker Elisabeth Terland, and Swedish full-back Anna Sandberg. Despite the influx of new talent, United’s transfer activity may not be over yet. The club is reportedly in the market for a new goalkeeper to replace Mary Earps, who has joined PSG.
