Amorim will formally take charge at Old Trafford after appearing on the sidelines in his final game for Sporting CP on Sunday against Braga. The Portuguese coach is set to travel to Manchester on Monday and take the reins from interim coach Ruud van Nistelrooy.

With Amorim on board as their new head coach, the Red Devils will look to bolster their squad in the next few transfer windows. Per Mundo Deportivo, United have called Sporting CP to enquire about the availability of Quenda, a 17-year-old winger who only made his senior debut this season.
