WHAT HAPPENED?
The Belgium international has not kicked a ball for City since the opening game of the season, as he needed surgery on a hamstring injury. However, he has now been included in the squad for the Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia, suggesting he could make his return in December.

De Bruyne has been a remarkably consistent presence for City in recent seasons. Last term, he provided a remarkable 31 assists in 49 games, as well as 10 goals. His return would be a significant boost.
