Joshua Zirkzee's transfer stance revealed as forward comes in for criticism amid tough start to life at Man Utd after Bologna switch

The 23-year-old joined United from Bologna in the summer for £36 million ($46m) but since then he has scored just one goal and made one assist in 12 appearances. Amid links with a potential loan move back to Serie A in January, Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg says the Netherlands international has no intention of leaving the Red Devils in early 2025.

The report adds the 6'4 forward wants to establish himself at United and sees himself as the 'number one striker', amid a battle for a starting spot with fellow front man Rasmus Hojlund. However, the Dutchman will need to start scoring for Erik ten Hag's men if that is to happen.

After Zirkzee started in United's 1-1 draw with Fenerbahce in the Europa League on Thursday, he will hope to get more game time in their trip to West Ham on Sunday in the Premier League.
