'INEOS you are rocking my world!' - Man Utd fans express joy after captain Bruno Fernandes agrees new Old Trafford contract to end transfer speculation

Fabrizio Romano reports that the United skipper has agreed to put pen to paper on a new deal that will run until 2027 with an option to extend it by one more year. Fernandes was linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain and the Saudi Pro League earlier in the summer, however, he has now agreed to sign a new contract with the Premier League giants.

Red Devils fans erupted in joy on social media as they thanked the INEOS group for managing to convince their star player to stay at Old Trafford.

Jan spoke highly of INEOS' long-term vision as the user wrote, "INEOS short and longer-term project means we can enjoy our best player for another few years. Probably the only player in our squad who deserves to be paid a really high salary."

The 29-year-old was undoubtedly one of the best performers for his club in the 2023/24 season season as they won the FA Cup. The Portugal international scored 15 goals in 48 matches across all competitions and contributed with 13 assists including an assist in the FA Cup final win over Manchester City.

The Portugal international will next appear for United on Friday as the club face Fulham in the Premier League curtain raiser at Old Trafford.
