It appears as though Borussia Dortmund have won the race to sign Ajax’s Sebastien Haller, but could Manchester United still make a late move for the Cote d’Ivoire hotshot.
The striker may have struggled in the Premier League with West Ham United, but he has rebounded in style in the Dutch top flight, winning back-to-back Eredivisie titles with the Amsterdam giants.
Haller won the Golden Boot this season—establishing him as one of Africa’s prominent frontmen—and also excelled in the Champions League, breaking records aplenty as he ended the campaign with 11 goals.
Only Karim Benzema and Robert Lewandowski scored more, and the Red Devils may need to part with €40 million if they’re to scupper BVB’s deal for Haller.
