Nurudeen, Issahaku and more: The winners and losers of Ghana's Kirin Cup adventure

It was a good end for Ghana at the 2022 Kirin Cup as they beat Chile 3-1 on penalties to finish third. 

After a 0-0 score at the end of normal time, the game headed for a shoot-out where Mohammed Kudus, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Jordan Ayew and goalkeeper Abdul Manaf Nurudeen shone to earn their side bronze. 

The victory follows a humiliating 4-1 loss to hosts Japan in the tournament opener and semi-final fixture. 

Amid the big countdown to the World Cup in Qatar later this year, GOAL runs the rule over the performance of some players at the Japan challenge.
