Duran became the latest high-profile signing for the Riyadh-based club, sealing a move from Aston Villa in a €77 million (£65m/$80m) transfer deal. His debut could not have gone much better, as he found the back of the net twice, while Ronaldo also marked the occasion with his first goal since turning 40 as Al-Nassr cruised to a 3-0 victory at Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh on Friday night against Al-Feiha.

After his stunning debut, Duran expressed his disbelief at sharing the pitch with one of football’s greatest players.

“It feels like I’m playing FIFA Career Mode. I’m celebrating goals with Cristiano Ronaldo,” Duran said, still in awe of the surreal experience.

Duran’s transfer to Al-Nassr has not only elevated his football career but also transformed his financial status. The Colombian striker has signed a lucrative deal reportedly worth £17 million ($21 million) per year, a staggering increase from his previous £75,000-per-week contract at Aston Villa. This massive pay rise translates to an hourly wage of approximately £1,900 and £31 per minute, further highlighting the financial muscle of Saudi Arabian football as they continue to attract top talents from across the globe.

Following their commanding victory over Al Feiha, Al-Nassr will now shift their focus to their upcoming Saudi Pro League fixture against Al-Ahli which is scheduled for Thursday, February 13.
