Portugal manager Martinez is in no doubt about his enduring qualities and was effusive with his praise for his captain after the win.

  • WHAT MARTINEZ SAID

He told a post-match press conference: "Cristiano Ronaldo? I'm not just highlighting individual performances, but the fact is that Cristiano scored three goals in two games for the national team. He has an exemplary attitude and behavior. A performance worthy of a team captain."
