'Nothing to panic about' - Erik ten Hag insists he is 'not anxious' about Man Utd future ahead of crunch fixtures against Porto and Aston Villa

The Red Devils currently find themselves 13th in the Premier League table having suffered three losses out of their first six league matches, including the humiliation against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend at Old Trafford. Despite the poor start to the 2024/25 season, manager Ten Hag claims that he is not worried about losing his job.

La Gazzetta dello Sport recently reported that the Dutch coach is on thin ice and has been given just two matches to turn things around as the club have reportedly started shortlisting possible candidates to replace him at the helm. Ten Hag, though, has insisted that he has the backing of the owners and remains confident of achieving success at the end of the current campaign.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the 54-year-old said, "We are going to make a success from the season. Nothing is easy, but this is nothing for me to panic about. We can sort [the problems] out, this team can sort this out."

When asked about his future at United, the manager added, "We created a togetherness in the summer with the ownership and the leadership. We made this agreement, and we were all behind it. We know the strategy [is to bring in] young players in a transition period. They also know in May in all my last six seasons there were always trophies and that is what we are aiming for."

The English giants are all set to face FC Porto next in the Europa League on Thursday before meeting Aston Villa in a tough away fixture in the Premier League on Sunday.
