Kane bagged a double on Saturday as Bayern beat struggling Holstein Kiel to extend their lead at the top of the Bundesliga table to nine points. THE BIGGER PICTURE

Kane now has 19 goals in 18 Bundesliga appearances this season and will be hoping he can continue his prolific form and end the season with some silverware. The striker has famously failed to lift a major trophy so far in his career but will be hoping that 2025 is the year his trophy curse is finally lifted.

  • WHAT KANE SAID

He told reporters: "It means I'm doing something right. It's always expected from a striker to score goals, I've been doing it all my career, but I wouldn't be able to do so without my teammates. Hopefully more to come."

He added on Bayern's upcoming fixtures: "We have a lot of tough games: Celtic, Leverkusen, Stuttgart, Frankfurt. We have to be ready and we need the whole squad. There's a lot to play for. We had a good month [January], except Feyenoord. We have to keep going."

    WHAT NEXT FOR KANE

Kane will be hoping to add to his goal tally on Friday when Bayern return to Bundesliga action at home to Werder Bremen.
