  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    The Premier League referee has hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons after a video emerged on social media of Coote hitting out at Liverpool and former boss Klopp in an X-rated outburst. The 42-year-old has already been suspended by the PGMOL and has now been stood down by UEFA as well. Coote was due to work on Nations League fixtures over the international break but has been removed from the list of fixtures by Europa's governing body, according to The Sun. He will also not be selected for Champions League, Europa League, or Conference League action until an investigation has concluded.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

    An investigation has also been launched by the Football Association into the controversial video, with Coote potentially set to face an aggravated misconduct charge. The match official has reportedly admitted that the video is real but that he does not remember the discussion as it took place some years ago.
