    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Ronaldo has quite a few wax statues across the world including one at the Madame Tussauds. Back in 2022, just before the World Cup, a new wax figure was unveiled in Times Square, New York, which made him the first athlete ever to achieve a ‘Times Square takeover'.

In 2015, he reportedly spent £20,000 to buy a wax figure for his house in Madrid by the same sculptor who did the job for Madrid's Museum of Wax as he was fascinated with the detail of that piece of art.

  • WHAT NEXT FOR CRISTIANO RONALDO?

Ronaldo has been in incredible form and recently scored a brace against Al-Akhdoud in a 3-0 win in the Saudi Pro League on Friday to set a new record for most top-flight goals (527) in football history. His second goal was one for the career-highlights reel as he lobbed into the net from long range with no goalkeeper under the crossbar.
