Cristiano Ronaldo revels in third-straight Al-Nassr victory as superstar forward scores again against Al-Wehda

The Knights of Najd are enjoying a fine spell under new manager Stefano Pioli as they dispatched Al-Wehda 2-0 on Friday evening, despite an inspired performance from Abdullah Al-Owaishir between the sticks. Former Chelsea man Angelo Gabriel drew first blood and Ronaldo converted from 12 yards in the 56th minute to seal the three points for his team.

Al-Nassr decided for a change in leadership early in the season after they dropped points against Al-Read and Al-Ahli with Luis Castro making way for Pioli. Since the managerial change, they have looked a different side, scoring seven goals in three matches and conceding just one.

Ronaldo will be back in action when Al-Nassr host Al-Rayyan on Monday night for their second AFC Champions League match before shifting their focus back to the Saudi Pro League for an encounter against Al-Orobah on October 5.
