Akpeyi - The hero
Chiefs reached the Caf Champions League final for the first time after defeating Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca 1-0 on aggregate.
Daniel Akpeyi produced a Man of the Match performance to ensure that the second-leg encounter ended in a 0-0 draw at FNB Stadium on Saturday.
Here, Goal takes a look at where Akpeyi ranks among the top-performing goalkeepers in this season's Champions League:
6 - Ali Abdallah Abu-Eshrein
The 32-year-old shot-stopper played an instrumental role in helping Sudanese giants Al Hilal Omdurman reach the group stage.
Abu-Eshrein kept six clean sheets from eight matches and he conceded just three goals which came against DR Congo's Tout Puissant Mazembe (two goals) and CR Belouizdad of Algeria.
6 - Toufik Moussaoui
The giant keeper was very influential for CR Belouizdad as they reached the quarter-finals for the first time in the Algerian club's history.
Standing at 1,98m, Moussaoui kept six clean sheets from eight games and he conceded three goals including two against Tunisian champions Esperance de Tunis.
6 - Daniel Akpeyi
The Nigeria international has proved to be a reliable keeper for Chiefs as the Soweto giants became the third South African club to reach the final after Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.
Having played second fiddle to Bruce Bvuma and Itumeleng Khune at times, Akpeyi boasts a perfect clean sheet percentage (100) record in this season's tournament having played six matches without conceding a single goal.
7 - Aishi Manula
The Tanzania international was one of Simba SC's shining stars in their fairytale run in the competition as the East African giants reached the quarter-finals.
Manula performed relatively well despite playing behind a shaky defence as he conceded seven goals from 11 matches, but he managed to keep seven clean sheets.
7 - Mohamed El Shenawy
The Al Ahly captain is considered by some as the best keeper in Africa and he has been consistent this term as the Egyptian giants reached the final for a record 14th time.
A towering shot-stopper, who is brave, agile and physically strong, El Shenawy has kept seven clean sheets from 11 matches and conceded six goals.
8 - Ahmed Reda Tagnaouti
The Morocco international has arguably been the most outstanding keeper in this season's tournament despite Wydad Casablanca's failure to reach the final.
Tagnaouti is sitting at the top of the competition's charts with the most clean sheets (eight) having played 11 games and he has conceded just three goals.
