Dier, who joined Bayern Munich on an initial loan deal from Tottenham Hotspur in January 2024, made his transfer permanent last summer when he signed a one-year deal. In the last 11 months, the English defender has become extremely popular in the Bayern dressing room and has won the trust of new manager Vincent Kompany. However, according to Sky Sports Germany, the Bundesliga giants are all set to let Dier leave next summer as they do not intend to extend his contract, though no final decision has been made as yet.

The report also adds that the Bavarian club have their priorities set as they are looking to extend Upamecano's contract. The Frenchman's current contract expires in June 2026, however, Kompany wants Upamecano to stay at the club on a long-term basis as the Belgian coach is known to be an admirer of the central defender. The club are set to initiate contract talks with him in the coming weeks.
